socio-cultural, socio-economic, and socio-
educational realities, the need for culture-
maintenance is as acutely felt at home as
among the Indian expatriates.The realization,
thus, justifies such attempts as made in this
little book to present the deep knowledge in
a 'made easy' form, in a language and style
that suits the target audience. The concept is
the message of the Gita for the people in
English language', addressed to the educated
Indian readership at home and also the people
of Indian origin settled mainly in the English-
speaking countries.
This little book is the English version of
the original Hindi text `Saral Gita Jnan' (Simple
Knowledge of Gita) by Dr. Mahesh
Vidyalankar. In view of the warm reception
