7. The mind is subtler than the senses, while subtler than
and superior to the mind is the intellect, and subtler than
and superior to the intellect, is the great formless (unmanifes-
ted) great soul.

8. Most subtler still from, and highest above, the formless
(unmanifested) individual soul is the Alpervading formless
(without sign or feature) Supreme Soul (God), knowing whom
the man is freed from boundage of birth and death and attains
salvation.

9. God has no visible features and no one can, therefore,
behold him with his physical eye. But those who know Him
illumined in their heart by deep meditation with a concentrated
mind and full devotion, become immortal, i.e., attain salvation
being free from repeated birtds and deaths.
