4. These are the seven Zones of burning flames, viz., black,
the tearible, thought-swift, red-hot, smoke-hued (unburnt),
scintillating (sparkling) and all-colourful. '

5. The oblations (of clarified butter) that are offered into
the burning fire at the proper time, are carried away by the
rays of the sun fo those regions of the atmosphere wherein the
lord of the gods resides, i. e., the clouds float.

6. The oblations (of clarified butter and other good things
that are offered into the burning fire) when carried by the rays
of the sun, return to the world of the offerer in fructifying
showers saying, in pleasant words of sweetness, as it wear,
to
him ;
"Come, Come, enjoy the fruits of your virtuous deeds."

7. These ships of sacrifice, including 18 forms of ceremo-
nies, are inferior in merit, transient and fleeting. Those who
consider them alone as the highest good are foolish and under-
go the miseries of repeated old age and death.
