The effect of worry remains for a long time. Trouble
and difficulty come on their own, and cost us our
happiness. Even when the happiness is great, it is not
visible. But even a small sorrow irritates us, so don't
increase the sorrow with more sorrow. Do not drown
in the sorrow. The thought of trouble is worse than the
trouble itself. Make the best of the time by not recalling
the suffering borne in the past. Then you will become
a useful part of the society. He who weeps before the
event, weeps more.
37. A miserly person does not fulfil his obligations towards
his children, wife, mother, father and the relatives.
Money is very dear to him: But to waste money is worse
than the miserliness, as this also crushes the natural
rights of all relationships and the poor people. It is
difficult to have a good living after earning money.
The person who spends money wisely, he removes his
obstacles and puts forth a good ideal in the society.
38. A smiling face removes the sadness of all the friends.
Sadness erupts from the weakness of the soul. A
smiling person casts amusement on the face of another
also. But remember that laughter of a low grade, spoils
the character.
39. The inner voice of a person decides the goodness,
badness, lawfulness and unlawfulness, if he listens to
it with a true heart. Swami Dayanand has written in
the 'Light of Truth', that while undertaking an unlawful
activity, the fear, doubt and shame erupt from the heart;
but the delight and mental satisfaction arise while
