Å pavamåna dhårayå rayi≈ sahasravarcasam.

Asme indo svåbhuvam.

O Soma, pure, purifying and universally flowing,

refulgent and glorious, come, bless and bring us wealth,

honour and excellence of thousandfold lustre, self-

sustaining and abundant. (Rg. 9-12-9)

Soma, divine poet creator, all peace and bliss,

abiding in the heavenly beauty of the universe, inspiring

and energising human creativity especially of the wise

sage, sends down streams of joy in song overflowing
