CERTAIN VITAL FACES EXAMINED

religion, whose follower's are divided into many sects that
have sprung up at different times in this
country, called
Aryavarta
(India), will be briefly discussed in the Eleventh
Ohapter. Should the readers not consider it an act of public
good. they would not at least bear an towards us,
since it has never been our object to do anyone harm or entertain
hostile feelings towards anyone ;
on the other hand
our sole
object is the ascertainment and propagation of truth.
In like
manner, it is extremely necessary for all to get:justly.
The
aim. of human life is to find out truth
and
to preach it to
others,
and not to wrangle in any spirit of hostility. Unbiased
learned men can very well know how many undesirable
results have accrued, and are likely to accrue (still), in thi.
world following from this wrangling on the part of chistnaties
and sectarians. There will be no peace and good-will among
men trill their wrangling ceases. Should we all, especial')
learned men amongst us, having freed ourselves of jealous)
(and bigotry) and hatred, try (honestly) to
ascertain wind
is right and what is wrong, desire to embrace the (Divine'
truth (alone) and preach to others (only) our honest
convictions, and reject all falsehoods, it would
not be
fount
impossible for us to do so. It is certain that mutun
dissensions among the learned have been the cause of mutua
hatred, discord and strife among the masses. If all then,
men were not immersed in selfishness, and were truly longing
t& further the interests of all, it is very
likely
that al
mankind may have one common religion May th
Almighty, All-Pervading God, inspire all mankind with tin
spirit
of establishing One Universal Religion."
