Onkar Upasana.
A Reply to Mr. T. Williams on Niyoga was
translated by Parmanand Vidyarthi and Ratanlal Vidyarthi. These
two booklets were also published by
Arya Pratinidhi Sabha,
Punjab,
Lahore.
Besides the books mentioned above, Panditji had also written a few
other books. In one of these there was a translation and exposition of •
Sandhya.
Another had an interesting description of all the Samaj's
gatherings, held from time to time at Lahore. He had also written
some comments on
Manusmriti.
Panditji wanted to get these
published. But then his untimely death intervened in all his plans
and dreams and sadly the manuscripts were lost, it seems for ever.
These books could never be published and the religious world
remains poorer for ever. He had also written a booklet on the
occasion of
sanyas
of Shiv Narayan Agnihotri. All these are nowhere
to be found.
Panditji wanted a resurgence in the interest in ancient Vedic
Literature. He searched out many unavailable books and got them
reprinted. For example, the
Prashastpada Bhashya of Vaisheshika
Darshana
was not available then. Pandit Lekhram Arya Pathik went
to Kashmir and found a copy after a great effort. Upon his return to
Lahore, he gave it to Pandit Guru Datta. Then Vidyarthiji got it re-
printed at Master Durga Prasad's Virjanand Press. Panditji also
published all the four Samhitas. Sam Veda Samhita bearing his name
was published in 1889. Had he more tinte, he would have done
invaluable service towards the cause of Vedic Literature. His death is
an irreparable loss to the mission of Vedic Literature. The present
collection is only a window to what could have been.
