(25) Yama further allures Nachiketa thus : "Whatever
desires are hard to be fulfulled in this world, you may ask all
these from me quite freely. Have from me these damsels char-
med with chariots (cars) and instruments of music, for your
service; undoubtedly these ladies are hard to be obtained by
ordinary men. But do not question as to death, i.e., as to what
happens after death, whether there is an immortal soul in the
body of a living being, that leaves it on its death."
