Because one loses health, wealth, fame, conduct, beauty
and reputation with bad character.
Good conduct gives long life. Good conduct gives the
wanted offspring. Good conduct gives the non-diminishing
wealth and helps in eradication of ill behaviour.
The word 'conduct' includes the way of living, meeting
big and small, meeting in society, conduct of relatives, that
is behaviour of all types. It includes pure conduct, to shed
evils and to obtain virtue. The English word 'character' also
means good conduct. This tract contains only the principles
of good conduct as enunciated in Hindu scriptures. These
are excellent and capable of elevating the human being.
By acting upon these one gets true happiness.
