contains a critique of a host of thinkers on the basis of Patanjali Yoga,
Vaisheshika Darshana, Nyaya Darshana, Prashastapada Bhashya, Gita and
Sahiartha Prakasha.
Those analysed in the essay include. western
philosophers, scientists and poets like Charles Bradlaugh, Alexander
Bain, Herbert Spencer, Thomas Henry Huxley, Nicholson, Rosce,
Hooper, Hunter, Rush, Whytt, Sthal, Andrew Jackson Davis, Darwin,
Haeckel, Tennyson, Dr. Ludwig Buchner, Cullen, Brown, Wundt and
Brousais besides Koran, Bible, Buddhism, and Brahmo Samaj.
Actually, this is an exposition on
Prashnopanishad
(4.1). The essay is a
testimony to Guru Datta's application and unbounded knowledge.
The Realities of Inner Life
Pandit Guru Datta delivered a lecture on the realm of the inner world,
on the annual function of Arya Samaj, Lahore in December 1887. This
was published posthumously on 7th August, 1890.

1888 at a function of Arya Samaj, Peshawar. This was published in
Vedic Magazine's first and second issues in July and August 1889
