Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath on Saturday lauded the management of Gurukul, a 106-year-old boarding school here, for promoting Indian traditions on its campus.
Addressing a gathering on the founders’ day, Yogi said the school was among the major contributions of Arya Samaj in providing modern education while inculcating traditional values.

He said the institute should be emulated by others as it was being run on the traditional gurukul pattern. The students were excelling in various fields, including joining the defence forces and other professions and taking admission in some of the best academic institutes. On the occasion, Governor Devvrat lauded Yogi government for undertaking various measures, including banning illegal abattoirs.
