Aryans! The 200th birth anniversary of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati is a historic occasion. It is not possible for anyone to get the opportunity to participate in the birth centenary or bicentenary of any great man again in his life. Therefore in order to make this Gyan Jyoti Parv - Smaranotasav Mahasammelan organized on this occasion Grand and Historic one, all the Arya Pratinidhi Sabhas, major Arya Organizations, Arya Samajes, Educational Institutions, Gurukuls, schools, D.A.V. Institutions alongwith Business and Industrial institutions are requested to –

Do not organize any big event on the dates of 10-11-12 February, 2024. Start preparations from now to reach with your family along with all the colleagues, officials, members and workers to make this historical commemoration of the 200th Birth Anniversary of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati a grand success.

Means of Transport and Route to reach Tankara

By Air - The nearest airport to Tankara is Rajkot. The distance of Tankara from Rajkot airport is 40 KMs. The second nearest airport is Ahmedabad from where Tankara is about 250 KMs. Both of these places have connectivity with almost all the places/airports of the country and the highway to reach Tankara from both of these places is very good. The Airfare for Rajkot will be quite high now. Therefore, taking a ticket to Ahmedabad and reaching there by taxi or deluxe bus can also be a cheaper way.

By Railway - The nearest Railway Station to reach Tankara is Rajkot. This station is at a distance of 45 KMs from Tankara. Frequent Taxi service alongwith Government and Private buses are available here for Tankara. During the program days, it will be our endeavor to make special arrangements for Government Buses from Rajkot Railway Station to Tankara venue, so that there will be more convenience. Therefore, book Railway Tickets immediately, no matter how much Waiting List. Send the photo of your Waiting List Ticket to 9311413920 on Whatsapp. We will make efforts to get them confirmed.

By Road - People living within 500-600 KMs radius of Tankara (near Gujarat - Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra) can also organize a Group Tour by booking buses on the behalf of their respective Arya Samaj/organization.

Arrangements and Facilities available at Tankara

Food Arrangements - There will be adequate and free food arrangements at the venue in Tankara from the night of 9th February to 12th February 2024. Paid food stalls will also be available, at which food/ snacks/ fast food/ desserts etc. can be enjoyed as per the arrangements.

Free Accommodation - For all the participants who are reaching Tankara, free beds will be provided for each person at the venue as well as at the local Schools, Dormitories, Samajwadis (Panchayati Marriage Centres) which are very clean and well maintained.For better facilities, all the dignitaries who wish to come to Tankara must register their group online and select "Free Accommodation" for accommodation. 

Paid Hotel/ Accommodation - Good quality hotels are available locally at Tankara and also at some distance away in Morbi and Rajkot. Rooms can be booked for two persons ranging from Rs 1500/- to Rs 5000/- as per availability. If you want to stay in a hotel/paid arrangement, then do online registration of your group soon and select "hotel" for accommodation.

Weather - The weather will be very pleasant these days in Tankara region of Gujarat. A light warm sweater etc. may be required only at night. Otherwise fans etc. run during the day. The day temperature will be between 25 to 30 Degree Celsius.

Dress - All Aryans should witness this important festival by wearing White Kurta, Pajama-Dhoti and Saffron Turban or Cap. Women should enhance the dignity/ grace of the occasion by wearing cream or yellow Indian traditional Saree/clothes. You must wear a Saffron Cap/ Turban/ Peet-Vastra during the entire journey and event. Be sure to wear the Om Badge or the 200th Birth Anniversary Logo Badge.

Excursion - If the participants attending Tankara Event would like to go for excursion etc., then the nearby tourist places are Dwarka, Gir Forest, Statue of Unity, Champaner Fort, Sabarmati Ashram, Rani Ki Vav, Pirotan Island, Rann of Kutch, Jarwani Waterfall, Sardar Sarovar Dam, Khambheliya Caves, Rampara Wildlife Sanctuary. The tour arrangements to there can be made through any travel agent. You can also take care of this excursion while making your travel plans etc.

Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati, the great soul of whose 200th birth anniversary we are going, endured so many hardships to give us our today. Therefore, some trouble is possible during the journey. Though, complete arrangements have been made from our side, still it is possible that there may be some trouble.
