The end of an amorous person is ill fame, illness,
poverty, sorrow, regretfulness and downfall of the soul.
22. Manu has described 'Non stealth' as the fourth element
of Dharama; that is not to snatch the right of another,
nor to have bad intention about it. If one has something
in mind and says something else, it is the theft in the
mind. If one gives some message and it is delivered
with an alteration, this amounts to theft in the tongue.
A person of good conduct should give up the theft of
every kind. A person telling the truth finds a respect
everywhere and his good reputation also spreads.
23. Cleanliess is the fifth element of Dharama. Clothes
(even not very costly), the house, eatables-to keep all
these clean, is a symbol of playfulness. The purity of
the mind is bigger than that of the body. Manu says
that the body is washed clean with water, mind with
the truth and the intellect with the knowledge.
24. Control of the organs of the body is the sixth element
of Dharama. Swami Dayanand has explained its

of the eye is to see, but to see with a passionate look is
bad. So is the case with the ear, nose, tongue etc. Even
if one organ of the body is struck up in pleasure, then
the intellect of the individual becomes more and more
impure, just as one hole in the pot leads to outflow of
water.
25. The seventh element of Dharama is wisdom, that is
every job should be done with deliberation and
farsightedness, to avoid haste, to keep in mind the
ephemeral nature of the universe and try to understand
